Affordable housing and mental health awareness are oftentimes separate discussions, with limited overlap. But each May, we're challenged to think about the intersection of housing and health, thanks Affordable Housing Month and Mental Health Awareness Month.
Senator Jim Beall is both an advocate for affordable housing, and a mental health champion in District 15 (South Bay and Silicon Valley) and throughout California. This Q&A with the Senator will speak to the challenges and benefits of seeing these two as distinct topics as one, to achieve success in housing affordability, accessibility and inclusion.
