At a time where organizations are committing to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and seeking to shake up the status quo of hiring the same consultants, where and how procurement is achieved matters. In fact there is a current bill, AB-2873 that would require all LIHTC applications to procure from women, minority, disabled veterans and LGBT business and submit a verifiable plan for increasing procurement from these businesses.

To answer the call, we are proposing to develop an informal network of BIPOC and AAPI consultants of skilled professionals in the affordable housing industry. Our goal is to create a place where organizations can recruit consultants and have an opportunity to fairly compete for jobs.

Outcome: Open invitation to BIPOC and AAPI consultants, and to those looking to become one, to join our community and help shape the network.
